A day after being omitted from Pakistan’s squad for the New Zealand T20Is, all-rounder Shadab Khan has been appointed as a brand ambassador and conferred with an honorary DSP rank in Punjab Police.
The all-rounder received the honours from Inspector General of Police Punjab (IGP) during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office.
The player was also given briefing on police operations after the ceremony.
“IG Punjab & the department made me an honorary DSP. I am honoured to be allowed to serve in a different way. We talk about change, let’s be the change we want to see. I encourage our next generation to join the Govt. sector to serve the country if possible”, Shadab posted on X.
Earlier, the spin all-rounder was left out of Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series against New Zealand, starting on January 12 at Eden Park.
