Mumbai Indians are facing constant backlash since they announced Hardik Pandya as the captain for the team for IPL 2024. The MI fans burst out of anger for removing five-time champion captain Rohit Sharma from the leadership role. Many cricketers have came in support for Rohit after MI shocking decision. Now, Yuzvendra Chahal has undirectedly ‘declared’ Rohit to be his favorite captain.
Rohit gathered support from his fellow teammate in MI and Indian team. MI batter Suryakumar Yadav had posted a broken heart while Jasprit Bumrah also backed him with a cryptic post on social media handle.
Now, Indian spinner bowler Yuzvendra Chahal has changed his ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) DP to a picture of his with Rohit. Now he has profile image of Rohit and cover image of MS Dhoni which can meaning that Rohit and Dhoni are his two favorite captains.
MI had to face huge outrage for sacking Rohit from the captaincy. Fans burnt MI jerseys and caps to show their support for Rohit.
However, Rohit has not given any statement about his removal.
