The newly built unique Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York is nearing completion and will be the stage for the much anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on June 9.

This stadium is no ordinary venue. Built specifically for the T20 World Cup, the stadium is built on the grounds of Eisenhower Park. Recent video footage shared on Twitter showcases the impressive installation of the pitch and outfield.

The stadium’s “drop-in” pitch embarked on a remarkable journey – traveling over 22,500 kms from Adelaide to its final destination in New York. The video also highlights the arrival of drop-in outfields brought in on tractors, further preparing the ground for the big tournament.

With four pitches cultivated with native Tahoma 31 Bermuda grass now in place, the stadium is rapidly nearing completion. Construction of the north and south premium hospitality and media pavilions is on track for imminent finalization. The 34,000-seat stadium promises to be a thrilling venue for the India-Pakistan clash on June 9.
