Zimbabwe bundled out for 124 vs Bangladesh, show why they don’t deserve to be in T20 World Cup

ZIM vs BAN: “That was boring!” This was the reaction of everyone who saw the game between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh as the home side bowlers easily cleared up Zimbabwe batters, causing their batting lineup to fall like a deck of cards. However, thanks to a 75-run partnership between Beteem Clive Madande and Wellington Masakadza, Zimbabwe crossed the 120-run barrier in 20 overs but ultimately ended up being all out. As a bowling unit for Bangladesh, everyone did their job, and the glory is shared by all. Each bowler, from Taskin Ahmed to Mohammad Saifuddin, took wickets.

On one hand, we witnessed bowling power, while on the other, Zimbabwe faced batting humiliation. As a result, everyone is discussing this game on social media. Let’s take a look at all the sweet and sour moments as everyone discusses the ZIM vs BAN game.

Madande & Masakadza putting Ervine, Williams, Raza & Burl to shame, this wasn’t a difficult to bat on but these senior players aren’t willing to grind it out, they are permanent in the side whether they perform and not #BANvZIM #ZIMvsBAN #BANvsZIM https://t.co/78IOzGxTnt

Bangladesh developed their cricket playing continuously against ZIM. And Zimbabwe other hand going backwards in terms of development. Disappointing to watch

Zimbabwe Cricket in danger!

It seems like a once-promising team is now sinking, steadily losing their identity in the World Cup. In the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, everyone was shocked when Zimbabwe beat Pakistan, sparking discussions about their redemption. However, it appears that all the huss generated was totally wrong. There has been a significant drop in their performances since the World Cup.

Numerous performances suggest that they are going through a string of collapses. A few months ago, they lost a T20 World Cup qualifier games, they got defeated by Namibia and Uganda, and eventually failing to qualify in the Africa leg of the qualifiers. As a result, they are out of the T20 World Cup 2024 as well. Looking at their their recent performances, it’s fair to say that their elimination from the upcoming T20 World Cup is justified, they may indeed deserve it.
