The first India women vs England women Test was not only a joyous occasion for the players, and the fans, but also for the Indian women’s blind cricket team, which was in the stands on Thursday cheering for Harmanpreet & Co. After the end of the day’s play, where India scored 410/7, a host of players met the women’s blind cricket team.
That included the likes of Harmanpreet, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Thakur, and coach Amol Muzumdar. Upon the meeting, CABI chairman Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar said, “Our girls had the chance to sit and cheer for the Indian women’s team. When the Indian team hit the 400th run we were there cheering for our team. It was a delightful moment for the Blind Women’s cricket team. Harmanpreet was very happy to meet our visually impaired girls and was willing to extend all possible support.

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s blind cricket team is engaged in a T20 series with Nepal, leading the five-match series 3-1. India had recently lost the T20 against the visitors, which came as a shock to them. But the Indian team made a comeback in the fourth encounter, securing the series.
