‘Usain Bolt will see a lot of dust’ Chris Gayle challenges legendary Olympic Gold medalist for a race

Cricket legend Chris Gayle has playfully challenged Usain Bolt, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist, to a 100-meter sprint race. The lighthearted exchange came about in a promotional video for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where both Bolt and Gayle serve as ambassadors for the event.

A friendly banter between Gayle and Bolt

Recalling a charity cricket match where they played against each other, Gayle reminisced about hitting Bolt for a few sixes before getting dismissed by the sprinter.

Gayle, continues the banter by stating that Bolt is still afraid of him and wouldn’t dare see him on a 100-meter track. He confidently predicts victory, claiming Bolt will only see “a lot of dust” as he, the “Universe Boss,” dominates the race. Gayle even extends the challenge to other sprinters, suggesting that Bolt can bring along Yohan Blake or Asafa Powell, but there will still be someone finishing fourth – implying it wouldn’t be him.

While a real race between the two legends is unlikely, the playful exchange highlights the camaraderie between these sporting greats and adds a touch of lightheartedness to the promotion of the T20 World Cup.
