Matching the pace of the former US Open champion, Sinner demonstrated his tenacity by securing critical breaks in the third and fourth sets, both ending 6-4 in his favor. The final set, determining the men’s singles title, witnessed a display of high-quality tennis from Sinner.
Breaking Medvedev in the sixth game, he sealed the match with a scintillating down-the-line forehand three games later, securing a sensational 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 victory and claiming his maiden Grand Slam triumph in Melbourne.
