17 done, 3 spots to go as Namibia & Zimbabwe qualify for T20 World Cup 2026

The semifinals of the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final have concluded. Namibia has beaten Tanzania by 63 runs, and Zimbabwe has completed a 7-wicket victory over Kenya to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.

Namibia and Zimbabwe will now meet in the final on October 4 at the Harare Sports Club, but the outcome of the match won’t have any bearing on their qualification. With the Africa Regional Qualifiers ending, 17 of the 20 teams for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 have been confirmed.

Asia-EAP Qualifier to decide last 3 teams

In the coming two weeks, the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final will be played in Oman. 9 teams will be in action, and 21 matches will be played.

The UAE, Malaysia, and Qatar have been placed in Group A. Japan, Nepal, and Kuwait in Group B. PNG, Oman, and Samoa in Group C. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 6 stage.

From there, whichever teams end in the top three will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 from the Asia-East Asia and Pacific (EAP) Qualifier.
